Eventually, his reluctance to delegate gave way as he realised that I was more than capable of running the office side of things. He had trained me to do exactly what was required, in the process making his job in the office redundant. In 2011 Dad was diagnosed with a rare, aggressive cancer and was told that his time was limited. He decided to take the time he had left to spend with family and friends. He passed away in January 2012.
Since then, because of what I learned working side by side with Dad, Mick Sawtell Electrical has continued to offer personal service along with quality workmanship. We have focused on streamlining the business across every area. My husband, Wal, has also joined the team bringing with him additional expertise and stability. This, along with building an excellent team of technicians, apprentices, estimators and office staff has provided us with a strong foundation in which to serve the people of Lismore and beyond.
We treat every job with the care it deserves, whether it’s a major contract or a smaller project at your home. Whatever your requirements, our family applies the Mick Sawtell business philosophy of honesty and integrity in everything we do, continuing to provide Lismore customers with reliable, friendly electrical services.
We deliver dependable domestic, commercial and industrial repairs and maintenance, specialising in commercial catering installation, maintenance and repairs. All of our electricians are licensed experts, capable of undertaking all manner of electrical work.
Some of our more well-known clients include McDonald’s, Lismore Shopping Square, Local Nursing Homes and Larger Construction Companies. We also look after a vast number of commercial catering contracts from Tweed Heads to Grafton.
